ALL PAPERWORK SHOULD BE IN AT THIS POINT. Parents: please do not forget to add your valid car insurance/card copy and a copy of your son's birth certificate. Parents will receive an e-mail if any paperwork or signatures are missing.

TEAMS:
SECOND TEAM (16's - 2) IS PAYING LESSER FEES AND NO JUNIOR OLYMPICS DEPOSIT.
THE 16's - 2 TEAM IS BEING OFFERED TO ATTEND 3 TOURNAMENTS ONLY (reason cost is lower).
IF SECOND TEAM (16's - 2) WANT TO PLAY ALL 6 TOURNAMENTS, COST WILL BE $1,750.00 divided in 5 payments of $350.00.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR ALL PLAYERS, BELOW:
First payment: SEPTEMBER 14th - 21st, 2008
Second payment: OCTOBER 15th, 2008
Third payment: NOVEMBER 12th, 2008
Fourth payment: DECEMBER 10th, 2008
Fifth payment: JANUARY 7th, 2009
BUDGET:
The budget covers tournament fees, membership fees, hotels, vans for overnight events, gas, uniform (s), GYM/Facility, insurance, coaches' salaries etc. (almost everything, except meals and airfare for teams going to Junior Olympics).
PLAYERS THAT MAKE THE TOP TEAMS (14s - 1, 15s - 1, 16s - 1, 17s - 1 & 18s - 1) MUST COMMITT TO GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH JUNIOR OLYMPICS IN JULY 2009 (ATLANTA, GEORGIA). A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $1,000.00 WILL BE REQUIRED FROM EACH PLAYER IN THE FALL SEASON.
SPRING SEASON: 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s are involved in their high school volleyball season, but the 14s – under teams will keep practicing and playing from January 21st, 2009 to May 16th, 2009.
THe 14's - under teams will have a week off after May 16th, 2009 and will return on May 24th, 2009.
THE 14s – Under Season is all year round (September 2008 - July 2009). The 14’s – Under Seasons are divided in three: Fall 2008 (September - January), Spring 2009 (January - May) and Summer 2009 (May - July). COST AND PAYMENT FOR EACH SEASON IS BILLED SEPARATELY.
SUMMER SEASON 2009:
THIS PART OF THE SEASON IS FOR ALL AGE GROUPS 14’s, 15’s, 16’s, 17’s and 18’s. It starts right after HIGH SCHOOL SEASON ends (CIF FINALS, Sunday, May 24th, 2009)).
EVALUATIONS:
There are evaluations throughout the year and players are moved up and down. THERE ARE NO GUARANTEED SPOTS TO ANY PLAYERS. Players could also be added to all qualified Junior Olympic Teams.
Evaluations for this FALL SEASON 2008/2009 already started and a few players already moved up. Good luck!
PLAYING TIME:
Throughout the year players are given opportunities to play during all of the SCVA/USAV events. However, for the Junior National Qualifier and Junior Olympics coaches will use most improved players, despite making an effort to get everyone on the court.
SCVA SCHEDULE:
SCVA has posted the 2008/2009 schedule (year calendar). Go to www.scvavolleyball.org. Then go to juniors, then boys, Schedule.
REMINDER: NO PLAYING SITE IS POSTED PRIOR A WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT.
PLEASE, DO NOT PLAN YOUR FAMILY VACATION AT YOUR SON'S TOURNAMENTS. Try to avoid conflicts. ALL PLAYERS ARE IMPORTANT TO THE TEAM AND THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE TEAM TO GO VISIT RELATIVES. RELATIVES WANTING TO SEE PLAYERS, MUST COME TO OUR HOTEL AND MATCHES AND TALK TO PLAYERS THERE.
THE SCVA SCHEDULE ONLY SHOWS DIVISIONS 18-16-14
8 – 14 year old players – play DIVISION 14 – Under
15 – 16 year old players – play DIVISION 16 – Under
17 – 18 year old players – play DIVISION 18 – Under
The only times the 13’s, 15’s and 17’s teams play their own divisions or age groups are: The JO’s Qualifier (January 09), Boys’ Classic (June 09) and Junior Olympics (July 09). All other tournaments they play the DIVISIONS above.
FORMS AND DOCUMENTS:
COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE: Please, add to the paperwork a copy of player's birth certificate.
EXCEPTIONS: NO birth certificate required for players that participated of Junior Olympics in Sandy , UT , 2008, for our Club. I already have a copy.
ALL SCVA FORMS (USA Volleyball Waiver and Release of Liability Form and Medical History & Release Form) MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY and SIGNED (front and back).
On the USA Volleyball Waiver and Release of Liability Form:

Jr. Age Division (leave it blank, I will fill that part out).
PARENTS:
Parents are requested to drive to at least to one of the 1-day tournaments throughout the year; 4 drivers per one-day tournament at least. Please add a copy of your auto insurance CARD to the paperwork. Proof of valid car insurance from September 2008 – January 2009 is requested.
For all overnight events, the CLUB rents VANS and transport the players.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – WE DO HAVE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE (ask for it)
No Full Scholarships are awarded. The maximum Scholarship that will be awarded is 50%.
SCHOLARSHIP PLAYERS MUST PARTICIPATE IN ALL FUNDRAISING EVENTS ORGANIZED OR SPONSORED BY THE PAGE YOUTH CENTER AND MUST PARTICIPATE IN ALL SCVA CLUB TOURNAMENTS WITH NO EXCEPTIONS (UNLESS ILLNESS, INJURY OR OTHER EMERGENCY).
